Revolutionary End Mills Coming From Iscar Will Expand Productivity While Shrinking Costs

Manufacturers and die & mold shops can eliminate chatter problems in many milling operations with Iscar's new Chatterfree carbide end mills. The cutters' variable-pitch flute pattern dismisses harmonic vibration, the prime source of chatter. This enables faster cutting and finer finish in rough or finish slotting, shoulder milling and cavity milling. In addition, users also report sustained edge life due to reduced chatter. The chatter-free feature is available in both solid carbide endmills and tips in Iscar's Multi-Master replaceable-tip line. Diameter range is 6 to 20mm for the solid carbide endmills, and 8 to 20mm for Multi-Master tips. These brand new endmills are ideal for reduced power machines with ISO40 or BT40 adaptations. The solid carbide adaptation can manage full slot machining up to 2xD. Depth capability on the replaceable-tip version is more subdued since the active length is shorter. In full slotting applications on alloy steel, the solid carbide construction efficiently handles 0.03-0.05 feed rates at 180-220mm/min surface speed and 2xD depth of cut.

Finishred - Unprecedented Solid Carbide Endmills

Iscar is introducing the EFR.. B44 and the MM EFS.. Finishred a revolutionary solid carbide end mills family. The Finishred carbide endmill is a combination of both roughing and finishing endmills in a single tool. Roughing endmills remove metal from work pieces more swiftly and proficiently than standard endmills. However, roughing endmills leave grooves on the machined surface. In consequence, after using a roughing endmill, a finishing endmill has to be used in order to accomplish a flush surface finish. This means time-consuming tool change, setup time and inevitably of maintaining two endmill types in the inventory.

Functions of the Finishred Endmills:

The EFR.. B44 and the MM EFS.. endmills feature 4 flutes with 45 degree helix, two serrated flutes and two continuous flutes.

The cutting edges of the finishing flutes are radially farther from the tool axis than the cutting edges of the serrated flutes. The finishing flutes leave out the grooves caused by the roughing flutes, leaving a fine surface finish.

The tool is fully competent and facilitates running at rough machining parameters, ending in finish surface quality.

The unique tool design diminishes vibration at high load applications.

The tool creates short and long chips simultaneously. This chip mixture is evacuated more readily than each individual chip type, an outstanding solution in slotting and cavity milling applications.

The Finishred is also obtainable with the Multi-Master indexable milling head option which incorporates the Finishred includes with the advantage of little setup time, no regrinding costs and the extensive range of shank and extension choices are obtainable for the Multi-Master milling heads.

A single tool substitutes the roughing and finishing endmills; therefore lowering stock.

Tool change and setup time can be discarded.

An extra tool position is attained on the machine

New Chip Splitting Solid Carbide Endmills for Elevated Metal Removal Rates

ISCAR is releasing the ECP-3/4L family of chip splitting endmills. The revolutionary endmills are available with 3 and four 38 degree flutes in grade IC900. They have 2xD and long shanks with reduced neck diameter, which facilitate machining along high shoulders, at high feeds. These endmills, due to their chip splitting factor and force distribution can be used very effectually on low power machines (CAT40/BT40/ISO40). The serrated cutting edge includes flat peaks which leave a greater surface finish, in comparison to the current rougher carbide endmills. The ECP endmills are recommended for machining austenitic and martensitic stainless steel, at up to 2xD depth of cut. They can be employed on alloyed steel as well. All of the preliminary tests conducted at numerous customers' locations showed remarkable results.

A Couple Of The Countless Improvements In Carbide Inserts Coming From Iscar Over The Last Decade
Iscar is introducing a new unique milling system with tangential, clamped, butterfly-shaped LNKX carbide inserts. The butterfly-shaped insert has significant advantages compared to the current flat, square shapes. The new geometry has more cutting edges, positive rake face, reduced cutting forces resulting in higher performance.

A Variety Of Advancements Have Enlarged Iscar's Line Of Indexable Endmills For Increased Productivity
Helido-Upfeed 04 Two years ago Iscar introduced the extremely efficient H600 indexable endmill line, based on conceptually new Helido-Upfeed double sided inserts with 6 cutting edges. The first insert launched was the H600 WXCU 0806..., which was designed for milling cutters in the diameter range of 50 to 125 mm.

The Latest In Carbide Endmill Architectures In A Extensive And Productive Line From Iscar
Manufacturers and die & mold shops can eliminate chatter problems in many milling operations with Iscar's new Chatterfree endmills. The cutters' variable-pitch flute pattern eliminates harmonic vibration, the main source of chatter. This enables faster cutting and finer finish in rough or finish slotting, shoulder milling and cavity milling.

Brand New Cutters And Carbide Insert Compositions From Iscar To Better Enhance The Machining Process
Iscar is introducing Penta 34 carbide inserts with a new PB chipformer. The PB chipformer features a single cavity with a positive rake, neutral shoulder angle, and a honed edge. It is actually a C-type chipformer with a different frontal edge.
